3S 40A 12V Balanced BMS হলো 3-series Lithium-ion battery pack-এর জন্য তৈরি একটি Battery Management System। বিশেষ করে 18650 Li-ion cell দিয়ে 3S battery pack তৈরি করার সময় battery protection এবং cell-group balancing-এর জন্য এই board ব্যবহার করা যায়।
3S configuration-এ তিনটি cell group series-এ connected থাকে। Standard 3.7V Li-ion chemistry অনুযায়ী pack-এর nominal voltage প্রায় 11.1V এবং fully charged voltage 12.6V হয়। এজন্য এটি সাধারণভাবে 12V-class Li-ion battery pack হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Built-in Balance Function:
এটি Balance Version BMS। Series-connected তিনটি battery group-এর voltage difference কমিয়ে pack-কে balanced অবস্থায় রাখতে সাহায্য করার জন্য balancing function রয়েছে। বিশেষ করে multi-cell battery pack-এর long-term operation-এর জন্য এটি useful।
Battery Protection:
ছবিতে উল্লেখ করা অনুযায়ী BMS-টিতে Overcharge Protection, Over-discharge Protection এবং Short Circuit Protection রয়েছে। ফলে charging ও discharging-এর সময় battery pack-এর জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় protection management প্রদান করতে পারে।
40A Rated Design:
Boardটি 3S 40A হিসেবে rated এবং PCB-তে multiple power MOSFET ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। তাই compatible high-current 3S battery pack এবং DIY power project-এ ব্যবহার করা যায়।
তবে actual usable continuous current battery cell-এর capability, wiring, nickel strip, connection quality, cooling এবং BMS-এর বাস্তব operating condition-এর ওপর নির্ভর করবে। শুধুমাত্র BMS-এ 40A লেখা থাকার কারণে battery pack থেকে 40A নেওয়া নিরাপদ ধরে নেওয়া উচিত নয়।

Important Note
এই BMS 3S Li-ion battery configuration-এর জন্য। LiFePO4 battery-এর charging voltage/chemistry আলাদা, তাই শুধুমাত্র ছবির তথ্যের ভিত্তিতে এটিকে LiFePO4 BMS হিসেবে ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়।
Battery pack তৈরি করার সময় B-, B1, B2, B+ এবং charge/load connection board-এর correct wiring অনুযায়ী connect করতে হবে। ভুল wiring করলে BMS বা battery cell damage হওয়ার ঝুঁকি থাকে।
